The Betsy Ross Flag is one of the most well known historical flag,
it represented the United States the first year after the signing of the
Declaration of Independence! Used in the Battle of Bennington of summer 1777, by
the Vermont militia. The Bennington 76 flag was the first to lead American armed
forces on land.
British Red Ensign, or "Colonial Red Ensign" and "Meteor" Flag, was the flag the
Queen Anne adopted a new flag for England and her colonies in 1707. The Kings
Colors were placed on a red field. Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown under this
flag.
The design of the Nazi flag was brought up by Hitler as the party flag in the summer of 1920: a flag with a red background, a white disk, and a black swastika in the middle. In Mein Kampf, Hitler explained the process by which the Nazi flag design was created: It was necessary to use the same colors as Imperial Germany, because in Hitler's opinion they were "revered colors expressive of our homage to the glorious past and which once brought so much honor to the German nation."
